Re: Wind-down Wednesdays

@rav3n thankyou ❤️.

Ok I'm sitting down in my chair at my table.

I can see some little jars with lots of lucky stars in them that I made a while ago. There's different coloured and textured ones, some glow in the dark, some are sparkly, some have patterns on them.

There's some large moth wings on my wall that look very light and delicate.

There's my weighted stitch teddy, he's rather big and he is heavy. But he is soft, fluffy and nice to cuddle and he has a little tuft of hair on his head.

Re: Wind-down Wednesdays

@rav3n Thanks for tagging me, I've tried the 3 by 3 by 3, but it wasn't for me, it was only an immediate distraction, and my mind continued shortly afterwards.

Re: Wind-down Wednesdays

Appreciate it 💙 @StuF

that's very fair @Sparky79 we'll look into new ones each fortnight, hopefully we can explore some that work a bit longer term too 💙

Re: Wind-down Wednesdays

@Dreamy ooo that jar of stars sounds lovely! great work with the first '3', now let's look into 3 things you can hear...

sometimes closing my eyes helps me 'hear' better haha, so feel free to do that. take your time with it.

are these sounds close by or distant? is it rhythmic or random? do you find it soothing or harsh?

Re: Wind-down Wednesdays

@rav3n I'll have to see if I can get some pics of the stars and post it in the hobbies thread.

I can hear my music which is a combination of both relaxing songs and also songs that make you wanna move around.

I can hear my heart pounding, it's very loud and I can feel it in my head.

I can hear my birdie quietly nibbling away at his seed.

Re: Wind-down Wednesdays

Thanks for inviting me @rav3n

3 things I can see

- cat scratch ing which is moderate weight and mainly covered in carpet

- rug beside me on the cough, soft to the touch, light

- floor below my feet, giving me solid and stable surface to walk on

3 part of the body

- shoulder, spine, neck

things I can hear

- reverse cycle aircon trying to warm this place

- prior to turning on aircon was sound of silence
- alarm alert on my phone

Re: Wind-down Wednesdays

yes would love to see it! @Dreamy i hear a lil birdie too! it's chirping softly. i hear my laptop overheating and i can hear the tapping of my keyboard, which i find satisfying.

now for the final part... let's move 3 body parts.

they can be gentle movements or big ones (such as wiggling fingers/toes, rolling your shoulders, fluttering your feet, etc)

Re: Wind-down Wednesdays

appreciate you sharing @Patches59, hope this lil exercise provided a lil pause in your day 💙

reading about the sounds you heard just made me realise that my heaters been on and its making a sound too! so weird, i didn't notice the sound of the heater until right now even though its been on for a couple mins.

Re: Wind-down Wednesdays

@rav3n i like the sound of keyboards tapping.

I wiggled my fingers and rolled my wrists.

I tapped my feet on the ground.

And I rolled my head around to stretch my neck.

Re: Wind-down Wednesdays

i know its different to the ones we've done before, how do you feel about this one? so proud of you for giving this a go @Dreamy

also i gotta hop off now, so i'll catch you tomorrow. take care 💙
