@RachSANECEO

I enjoyed it, thanks for putting it on. I had never heard of Disaster Relief Australia. They seem like a great organisation doing really good work in the community.
I left the Army in 1991 and DVA were very adversarial. I wonder if I should try applying again

Re: Wellbeing beyond the military – a Veteran-focused webinar

I think in life it’s always worth being open to trying things again. I don’t know much about the actual process but perhaps others in this forum will have more information they can share?

We could also ask DVA for some information and resources on the process, whether it’s changed over time? Could be a future topic suggestion for a peer group chat q&a?

Re: Wellbeing beyond the military – a Veteran-focused webinar

Hi All, I found this platfrom through the webinar below. It was a great experience for me.

I was in the Army for 13 years, mostly as a Medic, deployed a number of times and was lucky that for the most part those were profound and postitve experiences that have served me well in keeping perspective for mhy life outside the military.

I did not enjoy a lot of my time in the Army, however I recognise many of the tenets of service are now the things that give my life structure, alignment to values, continued discipline to work towards my ultimate goals of serving others every day.

I find other veterans regulalry who are looking for a way to re-engage in purposeful endeavors and finding many different ways to do that, now more than ever before, some just by helping others in our vteran community.

It gives me real hope.
